Why are most wetsuits black? Why does my wetsuit get heavy and soggy? We are in 2020, right? These questions led us onto the mission to create fashion in wetsuits, and find new technologies to increase surf performance while coloring the surfing landscape. And while we are at the topic of improvement: What is normal neoprene made of? Oh, petroleum... Alright then: Maybe, let's find something more sustainable! Let us introduce Limestone Neoprene. Now we offer locally designed wetsuits from more sustainable Limestone neoprene!
A major drawback of normal, petroleum-based neoprene is that these wetsuits get heavy, soggy and take a long time to dry. That is quite annoying, and especially uncomfortable when getting in and out of the wetsuit. We have the solution for this: limestone neoprene instead of oil-based neoprene. Limestone neoprene proved to be far better than oil-based and made wetsuits more sustainable, super stretchy and quick-drying - all in the hippest designs possible for a fresh appearance on the beach!
Finding its roots in Bondi Beach, Blackgoat Wetsuits are manufactured in several different designs and colors while focussing on eco-friendliness for our oceans. Our designs are created by designers from around the world and they come as steamers and springsuits in 3/2mm and 4/3mm thickness.
